Gooey S’mores Bars
Ingredients
1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
1 cup granulated sugar
1 large egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup graham cracker crumbs
1 1/2 cups mini marshmallows
1 cup milk chocolate chips
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9×9-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
In a large bowl, whisk together the melted butter and granulated sugar until well combined. Add the egg and vanilla extract, and mix until smooth.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, and graham cracker crumbs. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
Press half of the dough into the prepared baking pan. Sprinkle the mini marshmallows and milk chocolate chips evenly over the dough.
Drop the remaining dough by spoonfuls over the marshmallows and chocolate chips, spreading it out as evenly as possible.
Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the edges are set.
Allow the bars to cool completely in the pan before cutting into squares and serving.
