Crispy Homemade Chicken Nuggets
Ingredients
1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
2 large eggs
2 tablespoons water
1 cup breadcrumbs
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Vegetable oil (for frying)
Instructions
In a shallow dish, combine the flour, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper.
In another shallow dish, whisk together the eggs and water.
In a third shallow dish, combine the breadcrumbs and grated Parmesan cheese.
Dredge each piece of chicken in the flour mixture, then dip in the egg mixture, and finally coat with the breadcrumb mixture, pressing lightly to adhere.
Heat about 1 inch of vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Fry the chicken nuggets in batches, turning occasionally, until golden brown and cooked through, about 5-6 minutes per batch. Use a slotted spoon to transfer the nuggets to a paper towel-lined plate to drain.
Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
