Delicious Homemade Stromboli
Ingredients:
1 pound pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)
1/2 cup marinara sauce
1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 cup sliced pepperoni
1/2 cup cooked Italian sausage, crumbled
1/2 cup sliced bell peppers
1/2 cup sliced onions
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 375Ā°F (190Ā°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
On a lightly floured surface, roll out the pizza dough into a large rectangle, about 1/4 inch thick.
Spread the marinara sauce evenly over the dough, leaving a 1-inch border around the edges.
Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese and grated Parmesan cheese over the sauce.
Layer the pepperoni, cooked Italian sausage, sliced bell peppers, and sliced onions evenly over the cheese.
Starting from one long side, roll the dough tightly into a log. Pinch the seams and ends to seal.
Transfer the stromboli to the prepared baking sheet, seam side down.
Brush the top with the beaten egg and sprinkle with Italian seasoning.
Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the stromboli is golden brown and the cheese is bubbly.
Allow the stromboli to cool for a few minutes before slicing.
