Classic Apple Pie Delight 

Ingredients: 📋

2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon sugar
1 cup unsalted butter, chilled and cubed
6-8 tablespoons ice water
7 cups Granny Smith apples, peeled, cored, and sliced
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/8 teaspoon ground allspice
1/8 teaspoon ground cloves
1 tablespoon butter, cut into small pieces

Instructions: 🥣

In a large bowl, combine flour, salt, and sugar. Cut in the butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Add ice water, 1 tablespoon at a time, until the dough comes together. Divide the dough in half, shape each half into a disk, wrap in plastic wrap, and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).
Roll out one disk of dough on a lightly floured surface to fit a 9-inch pie dish. Transfer the dough to the pie dish and trim the edges.
In a large bowl, toss the sliced apples with lemon juice, granulated sugar, brown sugar, flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice, and cloves. Pour the apple mixture into the prepared pie crust.
Roll out the second disk of dough and place it over the filling. Trim and crimp the edges to seal. Cut a few slits in the top crust to allow steam to escape. Dot the filling with butter.
Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the filling is bubbly. Cover the edges with foil if they start to brown too quickly.
Let the pie cool on a wire rack before serving.
