Classic Beef Stroganoff

Classic Beef Stroganoff

Ingredients 📋

1 lb beef sirloin, thinly sliced
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 large onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
8 oz mushrooms, sliced
1 cup beef broth
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
1 cup sour cream
1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
Salt and pepper to taste
Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Cooked egg noodles (for serving)

Instructions 🥣

Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the beef sirloin and cook until browned on all sides. Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.
In the same skillet, add the chopped onion and cook until softened, about 5 minutes. Add the minced garlic and cook for another 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
Add the sliced mushrooms to the skillet and cook until they release their juices and become tender, about 5-7 minutes.
Stir in the beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, and Dijon mustard. Bring to a simmer.
In a small bowl, mix the sour cream and flour until smooth. Add this mixture to the skillet, stirring constantly until the sauce thickens.
Return the beef to the skillet and cook until heated through, about 2-3 minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Serve the beef stroganoff over cooked egg noodles and garnish with chopped fresh parsley.
