Creamy Homemade Alfredo Sauce Perfect for Pasta
Ingredients:
1/2 cup unsalted butter
1 cup heavy cream
1 1/2 cups grated Parmesan cheese
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg (optional)
Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions:
In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.
Add the minced garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer, stirring constantly.
Gradually whisk in the grated Parmesan cheese until the sauce is smooth and creamy.
Season with salt, black pepper, and ground nutmeg (if using).
Continue to cook for 2-3 minutes, stirring constantly, until the sauce thickens to your desired consistency.
Remove from heat and garnish with chopped fresh parsley before serving.
