Flaky Cream Cheese Spinach Puffs
Ingredients
1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
1 cup frozen spinach, thawed and drained
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1 package (2 sheets) puff pastry, thawed
1 large egg, beaten (for egg wash)
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a medium bowl, mix together the softened cream cheese, thawed and drained spinach, grated Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper until well combined.
Roll out each puff pastry sheet on a lightly floured surface to smooth the creases. Cut each sheet into 9 equal squares.
Place a heaping tablespoon of the cream cheese mixture in the center of each square.
Fold each square over to form a triangle, pressing the edges together to seal. Use a fork to crimp the edges.
Place the puffs on the prepared baking sheet. Brush the tops with the beaten egg wash.
Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the puffs are golden brown and flaky.
Allow the puffs to cool slightly before serving.
