Homemade Little Caesar’s Crazy Bread
Ingredients
Dough:
1 1/2 cups warm water (110°F/45°C)
2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast (1 packet)
2 tablespoons granulated sugar
1 teaspoon salt
4 cups all-purpose flour
2 tablespoons olive oil
Garlic Butter:
1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
Topping:
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
In a large bowl, combine the warm water, active dry yeast, and sugar. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until the mixture becomes frothy.
Add the salt and 2 cups of flour to the yeast mixture. Stir to combine.
Gradually add the remaining flour, 1 cup at a time, mixing until a dough forms.
Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and knead for about 5-7 minutes, until it is smooth and elastic.
Place the dough in a lightly oiled bowl, turning to coat all sides. Cover the bowl with a damp cloth and let the dough rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Punch down the risen dough and divide it into 16 equal pieces. Roll each piece into a breadstick shape and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
Bake for 15-18 minutes, or until the breadsticks are golden brown.
While the breadsticks are baking, prepare the garlic butter by mixing the melted butter, garlic powder, and salt.
Remove the breadsticks from the oven and immediately brush them with the garlic butter.
Sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese over the top of the breadsticks.
Serve warm and enjoy your homemade Little Caesar’s Crazy Bread.
